The Revival of Labu Sayong

The Revival of Labu Sayong
A collaboration with makers from Kampung Kepala Bendang, Kuala Kangsar, Perak — is an ongoing journey to give a new breath to Malay ceramic heritage.
We align the heritage of Labu Sayong with the approach we practise in our daily studio work, respecting its roots while introducing contemporary refinement.
Each piece is fired at over 1,200°C, making it more durable, longer-lasting, and fully functional as a water vessel.
We will be releasing this beautifully reimagined Labu Sayong soon, in limited quantities only.
A curated, limited release will be unveiled tomorrow, 1st January at 10:00 AM, exclusively on our website.
Note: Traditional Labu Sayong is a living heritage — still made and practised today by makers in Kuala Kangsar, Perak. Some makers adopt new approaches or methods in production, depending on their purpose.
