SABI
SABI
Sabi; a Japanese word for the quiet beauty found in simplicity, imperfection, and things left naturally unrefined.
We like the idea of yuragi — a gentle wavering, a little movement that keeps things from being perfectly still.
Sabi follows that feeling.
Soft curves, an uneven rim, a shape that shifts just a little from one piece to another. Nothing forced into perfect symmetry. Nothing made to look exactly the same.
Just clay, taking its own gentle course.
There is something special about things that leave a little room for chance — where the hand, the material and the moment all have a say.
A little uneven.
A little unexpected.
And quietly beautiful.
